Program Details

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree is one of the vital engineering fields that covers various important sectors such as electrical power generation, transmission and distribution, micro and nano electronics, robotics and automation, mobile and satellite communication, data transmission and computer networks, etc. The electrical engineering field is the powerhouse of the whole world; without which nothing works. This programme covers all these sector requirements and provides a wide scope in job opportunities for the graduating students. This programme provides sound engineering and technological knowledge in the specialized field through state-of-the-art laboratories and modern simulation tools. It also incorporates a capstone project, mini projects and final year project modules in order to train the students to graduate with creative and innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. The industrial training module provides the opportunity for students to experience real-world working environments. Other soft skills such as effective communication and presentation skills, entrepreneurial skills, professional ethics, safety, environment and sustainability skills and project management skills are developed through various engineering activities. Various technologies of Industry 4.0 are incorporated in the syllabus and prepare them ready for the job market. Furthermore, this programme provides an excellent pathway for the professional practice and recognition as a qualified professional engineer.

A minimum of 2 passes at A-Level is required (a pass in Mathematics and any one physical science subject)

First year = MVR 4500 per month x 12 months (MVR 2500 under the government free first degree scheme) Second year = MVR 4750 per month x 12 months (MVR 2750 under the government free first degree scheme) Third and Fourth year = MVR 5999 per month x 12 months (MVR 3999 under the government free first degree scheme)
